Why we fight

 A brief note from President and Founder, JP Kirby

Remember back to your life in 2019. Serious and broad-ranging challenges faced us as Americans, but there were certain rights and freedoms we felt we could still count on. That changed in 2020. Churches, businesses, schools, meeting places, social clubs–shuttered overnight. Faith that our fundamental freedoms would be safe was rocked and our communities were shattered. People lost their businesses, their homes, and even their lives.

Those of us who believed in freedom even in times of crises were disorganized, slow-to-respond, and filled with despair. We were powerless to fight back as our freedoms were being confiscated.

Student Rights Inc. was founded to put political change back into the hands of the freedom-minded and the conscientious. Without effective leaders, communities are at the whim of tyrants and out-of-touch bureaucracies. We give freedom-minded people the toolkit to fight back, and coach them through the process until they win. Starting with young people on campus, we will plant strong, liberty-loving organizers in our communities across the country. Leaders who will be equipped to face the tidal waves of tyranny they will see throughout their lives.

With your help, we will have an ironclad defense against the tyrants who seek to limit our freedoms, on campus and beyond.
